Our people are starting to catch the passion of Servolution. I believe it will transform our church. We have a big car wash coming up in June to kick off OnePrayer. We are washing cars, Feeding, Cutting Kids hair and offering nitrogen for the bikers tires.

Billy,
Dino's answer made me think of a time I was traveling with an ARC church planter and he witnessed to the lady behind the desk at our hotel. She had just been laid off and was working the night shift at this hotel so she could feed her family. Instead of being a "demanding customer" he took time to pray and council her. She told us her story and about her faith in Christ. After listening he was able to encourage her and remind her of a few scriptures. I was really tired but I learned that just taking time to stop and make someones day better, can be a great way to serve.

Melanie, serving is the best witness there is. I guess I have knocked on hundreds of doors in my life with the intention of sharing the Gospel with the person that opened the door....I was never comfortable with it once! Serving has never made me nervous....Thanks for your comments.

I remember feeling guilt as a teenager because I thought I was terrible at cold call witnessing techniques. I love Servolution because I think it makes demonstrating the unconditional love of God simple and easy. Giving to someone else opens the door to genuinely share what God has done for us and what He can offer others.

Our church participated in the "Seven Days of Servolution". Now we are offering a special small group at our church this summer. People will read a couple chapters of the "Servolution" book a week, and then the group will plan and discuss ways to serve the people in our community. People want to share their faith, and this is a great way to provide the way they can do that.
