Celebration Church Jacksonville Explodes!

Charlene and I visited Stovall and Kerri Weems in Jacksonville, Florida this past weekend where I had the opportunity to speak at their marriage weekend and Sunday services. WOW! This church is explosive in worship, attendance, and in the presence of God. Everything there is just plain fun. There were over 1,700 in attendance in their Super Saturday service and they packed-out the building twice on Sunday…not to mention the other off-site campuses.

Stovall has done an incredible job building a dynamic life-giving church in this sunny city in northern Florida. The energy in the services, the intensity with which the people worship and the “all out” pace that the Celebration team serves is incredible. It was fantastic!

We also had the privilege to see “Watoto” from Kampala, Uganda. This is a choir made up of AIDS orphans from Uganda that have been adopted by this mission. My heart was stirred for missions all over again as they sang with all their heart “I am not forgotten, God knows my
name.” Incredible.

Thanks Stovall and Kerri for a weekend we will never forget.

Great report Billy. We are thrilled at what God is doing through Stovall and Celebration Church. They serve as a real encouragement to the rest of us in Florida that are building life-giving churches. Also wanted to point out that Kampala is in Uganda and not in Ghana. Ghana is in West Africa and Uganda is in East Africa :)

Joseph, thanks for our comments and getting me straight on the Uganda part. I knew that but just put the wrong nation! My daughter and her husband worked in Uganda while missionaries in Kenya. Thanks again for your comments. Billy

    Billy,

Thanks so much for coming to Celebration Church in Jacksonville. I really enjoyed your old school message on relationships. My wife & I attended the married life function in orange park and I was bummed you were not there in person so I could thank you for the encouragement I got from your message to make sure I am maintaining the relationships in my life and also for the married life message about not taking those relationships for granted as it is easy to get caught up in life and do.
So I decided to look you up online and was pleased to find this page to telll you what an impact those 2 messages have had on me. So thanks so much. Your wife Charlene is in my prayers and I hope you and juliet have a lot of great friday nights ahead.

    Thanks again
